2nd Semester Welcome Back

It’s great to be back in school. It’s been rather difficult getting back into the swing of things with all of the weather closings but our students and staffulty are getting back into the groove. Friday we had a pep assembly to welcome everyone back and review our PBIS school wide expectations. Students enjoyed performances by our jazz ensemble and cheerleaders. Our student leadership group planned, organized and hosted our pep assembly. They reviewed key concepts from our PBIS school wide expectations through skits, games and relays. Our students continue to demonstrate that they are Respectful, Accountable and Productive. KGMS Foxes know how to RAP!!
Lost and Found Box
Our lost and found box fills up quickly with items ranging from lunch boxes, binders, books, and many, many, many clothes. Did I say many clothes?! Students leave items on the bus, in the cafeteria, and in classrooms. We try to return items to students if they are marked with a name but unfortunately, not every item finds its way back to the rightful owner.
I am always surprised to see just how much stuff is accumulated in such a short period of time. We are just beginning the sixth week of school and already the box is almost full. Our lost and found will be emptied approximately every six weeks. A notification will go out by school messenger alerting parents of the deadline to retrieve lost items. This process will occur throughout the school year. Our first deadline for pickup of lost items will be next Friday, September 29th.

If your child is missing an item please encourage your child to come and look through the lost and found box which is located in the ma…
